Fire Weakness (Important)

Since May 2024, Zulrah has a 50% weakness to fire — fire spells are 50% more accurate and deal 50% more damage.

Powered staves (Trident, Sanguinesti, Tumekens shadow) do NOT benefit from this. Only standard spellbook fire spells do.

What this means for gear choices:

  • Twinflame staff + Tome of fire casting fire spells is very strong — it exploits the weakness, fires two spells per cast, and the Tome of fire adds 50% damage to fire spells
  • Harmonised nightmare staff + Tome of fire is BIS for fire spell exploitation (4-tick fire spells)
  • Trident / Sanguinesti / Shadow are still top weapons overall due to raw stats, but they miss the fire bonus entirely

Minimize Switches While Learning

Start with 2-3 ranged switches: weapon, cape, maybe top. Add more as you get consistent kills. Fewer switches = more food = more room for error.

When to Stop

  • Both fangs + visage = done with uniques (~700 KC average)
  • 50k+ scales needed to fuel blowpipe and trident through raids (~385 kills just for scales)
  • If you have Bowfa already, blowpipe is less critical — mainly farm for magic fang and scales
  • Come back for more scales whenever you run low
